RAY LIN X ORPHEUS GALLERY : The Signs of Time - Across And Beyond Those Infinite Empires

Forthcoming exhibition
RAY LIN X ORPHEUS GALLERY , The Signs of Time - Across And Beyond Those Infinite Empires
'Ray Lin’s designs are imbued with a distinctive mythological atmosphere. Drawing core inspiration from ancient Viking mythological epics, he endows each creation with an individual character and narrative foundation.'

The past, sealed beneath layers of time, is an unending banquet. Every precious artwork passed down through the long river of history speaks to us in silence, carrying stories that have endured for millennia.

Ray Lin’s designs are imbued with a distinctive mythological atmosphere. Drawing core inspiration from ancient Viking mythological epics, he endows each creation with an individual character and narrative foundation. Much like the Vikings themselves—who confronted fate head-on, sensed the rhythms of all things, and pursued relentless exploration—each of his works is charged with emotion and humanistic depth. His proprietary “Oscillating Ripple” silver-carving technique vividly evokes the imagery of gazing into the Well of Fate, capturing the inner turbulence experienced when one peers into the unknown.

Through the chasing, oxidation, and refined sculptural and stone-setting techniques applied to precious metals, Ray Lin articulates the complex relationship between the passage of time and forward movement within his jewelry. When viewed and worn, these works awaken an endless resonance between emotion and the wearer’s inner world.

In this exhibition, jewelry artist Ray Lin takes time and the continuity of imperial histories as his central theme. By interweaving mythology, architecture, and the latent imagery embedded within humanistic traditions, and by incorporating ancient Greek silver coins, he presents a compelling and evocative tableau of contemporary jewelry art.
